• The Resort’s Native American Learning Center provides environmental awareness in a venue where culture and land based stewardship demonstrate centuries old policies of environmental maintenance and a dedication to caring for Mother Earth.
• The Resort has converted a chemically treated Koi pond into an environmentally sensitive pond naturally maintained by symbiosis. The “Eco-pond” was awarded the Valley Forward Association’s prestigious Crescordia Award for public assembly in environmentalism.
• The Resort is the first to have a destination-based demonstration crop garden. Using seeds gathered from Native American reservations in Arizona, Northern Mexico and New Mexico, the garden demonstrates native cultigens, natural growing techniques and biodiversity.
