The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay is designed to resemble the grand seaside lodges of the 19th century with traditional shingle style architecture. Every guest room offers the finest "estate" style accommodations with English and Portuguese influences and art.

The resort features a six-story main building and three adjacent guesthouses with a total of 261 guest rooms including 22 suites. Two-thirds of all guest rooms offer ocean views.

Golf at Half Moon Bay Golf Links: Enjoy two of California's most exciting and beautiful courses designed by Arnold Palmer and Arthur Hill. Both the Old Course and Ocean Course offer variety, challenges and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean.

Tennis: The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay offers six lighted hard courts for your enjoyment, and a complimentary ball machine and equipment are provided for all overnight guests.

Sea Kayaking: Kayaking is a unique way to enjoy the natural setting of the captivating coastal region of Pillar Point Harbor. Get close to and observe harbor seals, marine birds and other wildlife in their natural habitat. At Pillar Point stop, enjoy lunch and view the Mavericks, one of the world's most famous surfing spots.

Wine Tasting: Explore the unique "Mountain meets the Coast" wine tasting presented by Obester Winery. Experience award winning wine selections within a beautiful outdoor setting.

Ano Nuevo Elephant Seal Trip: Ano Nuevo State Reserve is the site of the largest mainland breeding colony in the world for the northern elephant seal. Experience this amazing excursion by joining a guided walk, offered only during the breeding season (December 15 through March 31).

Ritz Kids Day Program: Offered on a full- or half-day basis every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with 24-hour advanced notice required Monday through Thursday. This program for children ages five to 12 allows them to experience a variety of stimulating activities.

The day may include:

* Going to the beach, building sandcastles, exploring tide pools, etc.
* Swimming at the Colony Club pool
* Board games
* Arts and crafts projects
* Tennis, Golf, Soccer, Volleyball, or Basketball

Kids Night Out: Children can get away for a night of fun and excitement, while parents enjoy a quiet dinner at Navio on Friday and Saturday evenings. The supervised night includes a special dinner, movies and arts and crafts. The Kids Night Out program is offered from 6 to 9 p.m., or until 11 p.m. for parents who need a bit more time out.

Ritz-Carlton Spa:The Spa features 16 treatment rooms, gentlemen and ladies' lounges with whirlpool, a candlelit, co-ed Roman mineral bath with Tsunami showers and more. Replenish with a simple treatment or immerse yourself in total relaxation. The Ritz-Carlton Spa offers a complete range of services for body, mind and spirit.
